For RAOB 6.8 users.  The latest version contains serial numbers beginning with 6861, so if the first 4 digits of your RAOB serial number are less, you should download the latest program update using RAOB's Help menu (RAOB Program Updates) for the download link, or just use this direct link.

RAOB Customer Corner.  See how a team of inventive meteorologists from NOAA/NWS, Key West, FL and the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies, FSU, Tallahassee, FL used RAOB's extensive analytical capabilities to make a unique, and totally sounding-based, Waterspout predictor.  This Waterspout predictor is represented by "Waterspsout3" in RAOB's parameter listings.

RAOB Beta.  While some are on summer vacation, the RAOB Factory has been working overtime.  In preparation for the upcoming tropical weather season, the RAOB 6.9 Beta program now produces three new forecast indices.  (1).  The Tropical Cyclone Tornado Parameter (TCTP~UNC), which was developed by Dr. Eastin from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  (2).  The RAOB Tropical Cyclone Tornado Potential index (Tornado~TC).  (3).  The RAOB Flooding Potential index (Flooding).  If you want to use the RAOB 6.9 Beta program now, or are not sure of your eligibility, just contact wxx@raob.com and provide your RAOB serial number.  Use this link to view the complete list of RAOB Beta enhancements.
